My Story before the Hair Trasplants and how i got deceived into wearing a wig
When hair loss appeard to affect my head i got shocked. It was something i always wished that never happen to me but the family history was unavoidable. I started from dermatologists. The dermatologist told me to start using Rogain and Propecia. I started taking the drugs.
I was about NW 2.5 at this time and i wanted to have an opinion from a hair clinic, which was supposed to have a good name in the greek market.When i went there and had a consultation i told them i am using propecia and rogain. That lady (which was no doctor) when she heard that she told me to stop it immediately that only 2% are benefit from it and she told me that propecia is gonna make me loose my erection and she told to start using their treatments ( some lotion crap and a laser treatment which whould stop hair loss by creating better blood circulation). That was a very big mistake and its due to the fact that i trusted them and i wasnt so informed about working hair loss treatments at that time.So i stopped the drugs, my hair loss accellerated and after 6 months i ended up looking like a moron as u can see in the before transplant pics.
Then i went and complain about this and they told me that this whould happen anyway, They also said that i am a poor candidate for hairtransplant with insufficient donor area and they only solution for a hopeless case like mine is a wig. So they convinced me to get a wig. I was wearing a wig for 18 months loosing more and more hair without propecia and rogain and from traction alopecia of the wig. Not to mention that everybody had figured out about this and were laughing behind my back.
It was just an unethical greek clinic who put me in all these trouble so i can be their long term customer paying maintenance for the wig every 2 weeks and being enslaved to them.
Conclusion: NEVER STOP Propecia and/or Rogain unless there is a very serious reason to do it.
Its sad to say but Proper Hair Loss Advice/Treatments and Greek Market are two things divorced to each other. Are u A Greek and u have hair loss problems? Forget everything Greek and try finding solutions abroad. |

the curse of being bald
Yes summer again. The greatest season of the year. The season that every beach is full of sexy babies showing their nice body and looking for "fun",the season that everytime u used to get a different baby to have fun with every night, the season that everybody now is in island or in a club.Things u used to do, things that u had fun with, things that could show that life is nice,Things that cant do easily now.
Why u cant ? Well there are is only one reason. Cause u have lost something precious, something valuable, something u wished that never gonna happen to you. Your hair
And what is the result? From the nice guy u used to be, the nice smile u had, the straight attitute, the smarty talking, u have become another creature, a trasformation that is never gonna be acceptable for u (else u whouldnt be here right now reading ). The unhappy,misserable, ugly baldie.
You know what i really miss ? The old good times i used to wake up and spent about 30 minutes on the mirror gelling and brushing my great hair and fixing the hair style.Yeah it used to be a ritual. Now i wake up and whats the first thought of my day? Whether i am still a NW4 or i am tending to increase that number.
U dont wanna go out, dont want to meet your friends. In sunny days u get nervous, Sun shines on the balding areas and flashing and u feel like a looser.The same when u go to the elevator, or the office. The office which is full of sexy babies that when u talk to them u see that they are not looking u straight in the eyes.They are staring at something else. Your balding. I never had a lot of money but that wasnt a problem. I had a nice face and my self confidence. Things that got lost among with my hair.
The philosophy i have in life is to always to keep trying achieving something better from what i currently have. Better job, better car, better babe, better look.
What can i do to get a better look? Apparently i dont have many choises.Drugs dont restore lost hair. Wigs ? I tried it. U see how nice u look when u get out of the hair salon when the piece is so nicely styled.Nobody can tell the difference. After 5 days when the glue starts shinning in the temples it gives even a more sexier style. At least in the morning u have the feeling that u replace the old fashioned habbit of styling your hair, by cleaning the glue from the edges and regluing the cleaned edge. At least this way u wont get humiliated in your work from your colleagues.Of course the thought is still on your head. You think everybody knows you are wearing a piece.Especially women. Imagine your stupid expression when you girlfriend finds out you are wearing a piece. I wonder how many hours a day is gonna telling her friends about the unique wigy boyfriend she met.A nice idea to prevent this is by saying: Hi my name is John i am a salesman and i am wearing a wig... But that's not an easy thing
Transplants can work. But there are many requirements even to get an acceptable look. High donor density small balding area so u can have a better look. And how many are good candidates for such result.And which doctor can u trust? Everybody has something different to tell u.Yes the best doctors are usually in different countries. So in order to put some hair into our shinning head getting a better result from what we whould get from a local doc we need to travel from one way of the planet to the other. And since nobody is happy with one session the hyper atlantic journey must be repeated. Something that most of us whouldnt do even if it was a brain tumour surgery. But we are willing now to do it to get some little hair back
Money? who gives a damn how much it will cost. I prefer giving as much as i have to restore my look decently.But the whole hair loss curse is a nightmare messing with all the aspects of your life. Sex life,carrier, friends, even your family. All my hairy friends are out now clubbing and i am browsing a hair loss forum having no alternative option for the night. And no holidays this year cause i need to save money for my Hair Transplant plus the loan i got from the bank to cover the expenses.
All these for what? For some hair. Something that most people have,something i used to have and the loss of it has ruined my life has caused me depression has made an abnormal person and no matter what i do i will never achieve the half of what it used to be." |
