My Hair Loss History

Last updated on January 24, 2005

Loss started at 21. Receeding temples, general diffuse. Like a fool, i ignored it, hoping it would go away- had enuff to worry about.

Guess what? It didn't. Shock - Horror. Didn't know anything about transplants. Except that it was too desperate a thing to do.

Found this site. Changed things for me. followed the stories of a lot of guys, particularly Jotronic and futzyhead. Decided H&W was certainely the way to go. Went. Came back. Playing the witing game.

Day 7

I've been a bit slow on getting things up and running here. Unfortunately, i cant get any pics before day 7 up as i was taking them in too high a resolution and the website wont support it. But from this day forth i shall document to the best of my ability!

As you can see, ive just got the two pics up. They were actually posted in a slightly worrisome state as i was seeing what i now understand to be cracking (thanks joe!), which is a relatively common condition when many grafts are placed. This can form in lines as scabs form and as it flakes off the hair is taken along with it. This began around day 4 and has progressed. Nothing to worry about though, im assured.

I'm day 7 post a 3985 FU session with Dr. Hasson. Last week, i was a pretty much a classic nw5a with diffuse thinning - almost so diffuse it wasnt worth talkin about! Right now, im probably a nw2 with moderrately diffuse thinning toward the back half. Obviously, im gonna take a short trip back to nw5 territory to have a last peek at my old life before moving back to this glory of nw2!

Will keep you all upated.
