The
patient came to Dr Cooley for corrective work from
a previous hair transplant. Although he lives
in Charlotte, for his first hair transplant
he traveled out of state only to be received a
bad results from an unethical surgeon.
After doing some research online he learned that
one of the best hair transplant physicians lives
in his home city. Fortunately for him, Dr. Cooley
has a background in plastic surgery and was able
to correct most of the damage from pitting and
poor graft placement caused by the previous
surgeon during his first hair transplant. Dr. Cooley
punched out the pluggy grafts and incorporated
minor alopecia reduction to help conceal some of
the pitting damage from the previous work.
The
scar from the first procedure was also placed too
low to be safely combined or reduced with the new
strip scar, but the patient was pleased nonetheless
with all of the progress that has been made.
Once these grafts have grown in he should have
a fairly well covered mid vertex area and defined
hairline. The patient will need one more procedure
if he decides to achieve thin coverage on the crown.
For now Dr. Cooley and his staff concentrated on
filling in the front 2/3 of the scalp as this was
the most important area.
