Life on the Road
 DR JERRY COOLEY, MD
 FACILITY

Carolina Dermatology is a shared office between Dr. Cooley and another surgeon. Dr. Cooley uses half of the office for his hair transplant surgeries and has a shared waiting room. What stands out most is the large size of the surgical operating room. There was plenty of room for me to move around even with three graft placers (Dr. Cooley and two technicians) and four graft cutting technicians along the back wall. With everyone in the same room it was easy to monitor the progress of every part of the procedure. Dr. Cooley could easily step two feet to inspect the status of the graft cutting (INSERT PIC) and return to graft placing in a matter of seconds. The patient was provided a comfortable chair and was allowed to watch videos during the procedure. Combining the graft cutting and placement in one large room created a relaxed and productive environment. There wasn't any stress or disruptions from moving between rooms and everyone was kept apprised of the surgery status during the entire procedure. With all of the staff in one room we were rarely distracted from anyone entering or leaving the room.
