I would like to create a program on this forum whereby we partner with reputable companies who would like to have a presence here.

They would be able to present product info, notify you of promotions, and answer any questions you might have.

In addition, they would be able to resolve customer complaints that might arise from your orders.

All this would be done in a legit way, they would be officially identified as a customer rep and would have rules of conduct they must follow.   Things like they can't bash the competition etc.

Obviously there would be a fee involved for them, but it would be reasonable and would help pay for the services we provide now, and will be able to provide in the future.

This will help you the customer because they would have to take care of you or else deal with your complaints.

Also, the more business they get from the forum, the more they would have to lose if they screwed up.   That means you the customer are likely to get better service than you would have going in on your own.

I think this is a win-win situation for everyone involved.    So is there anyone that you guys would like us to contact?   If so add their names here and we will contact them.

It sounds like a good idea, but I think only hair companies without forums would go for this. Here are a few names I'd like to see *if* they would do it:

Hair Apparent
Hair Direct
Coolpiece
Hats Off Hair
Easypiece

Creating a recommended / reptuable list is a great idea , but we are the consumers and i feel that with some companies the internet business is NOT there bread and butter and is more of a second or third source of income.

The hair replacement industry is a business like everything else , i dont believe it takes 4-5 weeks to make a system and another 2 weeks for transit.

I bet they can make a system in 1 week or less, then once they have 50-100 systems ready to go they ship it to the middle man, thus the middle man pays for one shipment rather then mulitple shipments which saves them alot of money.

Thats the nature of this business, when they charge for a rush its just more profit for them because it may save you a week or too.

Like i said to one company " if i was paying $2000 for a custom system that normally cost $300 and takes 6 weeks to get i bet you could get it to my front door in 1- 2 weeks ". ( i bet you'd be at the top of the list/ line for quality and turn around time)- that company had no response.

BOTTOM LINE IS MONEY TALKS !!!

The time factor ,and i cant speak for everyone is not the problem here its the HUGE mistakes that are made.

Example how can can someone with dark hair be sent mistakenly a system with blonde hair , or someone who ordered a light density receives something that looks like a birds nest, etc, etc.

Like i said in a previous post that when a system is completed by the factory that a digital closeup picture should be sent to the customer of the system for their approval before shipping .

And along with the template a drawing of the system outlining the specs like density in different places, poly, areas of different shades of color, etc , etc. should accompy the template !!!

Sorry just my 2 cents

We will not be recommending anyone.    We will simply be providing a means whereby certain companies will be able to have a legit presence here, subject to our conditions and rules.

As far as your other point goes.    The fact is whether that is true or not, companies are repeatedly coming onto this forum and using it to market their services.

Based on that fact we can safely assume that they do consider these forums a source of customers, otherwise they would not even bother with them.

Couldnt they just start their own forums?

I think the situation is a bit difficult to avoid but perhaps it would allow companies to be more transparent. There is a paranoia on this forum that everyone who has anything positive to say about a product works for a supplier, when its just legitmate feedback.

Perhaps allowing companies in would negate that somewhat.

But personally I can issue with companies come on here selling their wares but I also think they have the right to reply if the forum enables people to be negative about a company or its service and has posted here instead of contacting the company directly.

Im not 100% clear on the rules to be honest, I must take a look, but perhaps any negative feedback about service shouldnt be allowed if the companies are not allowed to respond.

I think it's a good idea in theory, its good for us. But I can see companies not wanting to "air their dirty laundry" in public so it may be difficult to convince them. At the end of the day, I think every company will make mistakes because that is what happens with hair systems - they are delicate and difficult things to make perfect. So what will happen is that people will ONLY come on here to complain and companies will be dealing mainly with complaints. This will affect their marketing because users will search for them online and see that there are loads of complaints. It becomes "the place to complain" To add insult to injury, the company will be charged by you for the service. It will be difficult to convince them of the benefits for them, because although you say that they can come and post their response, most people EXPECT them to post a positive response and so probably won't believe them anyway, whether they are being honest or not. Its a difficult one Farrell. I'd be happy to help you come up with a better refined system that makes you money but is a bit fairer for everyone involved. Perhaps having a system where you ensure there is a "positive reviews" section, and a "problems to be resolved" section would be a better way to go. But having it just as a place to "resolve issues" is only a negative for companies.
