I'm a total newbie to this site. I have lost most of my confidence because of hairloss. Since I was 16 years old I have been losing hair, Now at 24 years old, I have thinned all over, I predict i'll go completely bold on top when i'm 30.. I went to Advanced hair studios in the united kingdom, they suggested I have laser Therapy, Does Laser really work?? they're charging me £1700, I'm still a student and dont have much money, Is it worth it??? I'm so worried about getting bold,

No. From other posts i have read it does not work. If it did it would be major news. thats a lot of money and for a student i would hate to see anyone get sucked out of that kinda dough

I've tried the laser treatment programme with AHS and saw no benefit whatsoever. Save your money mate.

I went to the one in Manchester, England. Didn't see any benefit at all. What has Jimmy WHite had done? I presume the same as me - hair replacement, hair system, toupee, wig - whatever u want to call it!

I went to the AHS in Manchester, Salford. I'm currently going to the hair studio in Heywood. Have any of you heard of it, used it, got any feedback? They seem like decent people with plenty of stylists but they don't really give any guidance on styling the hair or the best ways of dealing with excess sweating thru sport.

u may be on the wrong forum, try the general board also if u are considering treating your hair with drugs. laser treatment is unproven & likely doesnt work.

Hi guys,

just had my 3rd unit fitted yesterday (1st one was garbage - way too thick and dark, 2nd a lot better but thinned, faded and dryed in 5 weeks). It's a real disappointment - this one is way too dense for my hair. I've got reasonable thin light brown / blonde hair. This one is a lot thicker than the last unit and must clearly be a standard one that they order in. The people are quite nice but so evasive when it comes to specific questions about what the unit is called, it's density, bonding used etc.

This one is now so dense that they can't cut it as short as the last one otherwise I look like a chipmunk! It's becoming more depressing than going bald in the first place.

Michigan Baldy - I'm interested in taking a look at your video mate. Do toplace sell units for light brown / blonde hair that's quite thin? Their website is pretty impressive but wondered if u know of anyone that's had anything other than dark hair (always seems to look better to me).

In response to someone' question earlier I had the laser treatment at AHS in Manchester. Don't waste your money - fortunately I didn't get my unit from there as they seem to have even less consideration. Surely there's a massive gap in the market for someone to set up business who's preferably wearing / worn a unit and who's sympathetic to the customer's emotions. It's not exactly like going to buy some toothpaste yet u get fobbed off like your some sort of insecure psycho!

Thanks for everyone's advice, feedback.

Speak soon
