PRP
I started using PRP in my practice about 6 weeks ago and have already seen benefits from the treatment. I have used it in all my hair transplants and have seen the patients respond well to the therapy.
The benefits already have been less shook loss from the transplant and less redness in the recipient area. The donor area is healing better with patients having less post-op discomfort.
I have also treated patients for hair loss and noticed already an improvement in the donor density. I will keep you posted on how my patients respond but so far it appears that this a great benefit for patients.

You saw an improvement in the donor density? This doesn't make sense to me.

Donor density means the number and type of hairs in the non-balding areas of the scalp. These photos are of a patient that came to me only three weeks ago. He wanted to try PRP for his hair loss. I not only injected the balding area but also the thinning area of the crown. You can see that after only three weeks his donor density has improved.
PRP stands for platelet rich plasma. PRP is injected into the dermis to improve circulation and stimulate cell production. There are many articles written on this subject, just do a search on google ( PRP for hair loss).

It looks to me like the hair in the top photo is wet and brushed aside to make it look worse. Anyone else have an opinion?

When I first posted the photos I was not trying to promote PRP but trying to share my experience. I feel that there is an improvement in the balding area of the crown and will continue to post his follow-ups. Let's hope it continues to improve

I thought the hair on the back and side are completely DHT/MPB proof.
It seem this guy is loosing sone in the middle on the back? How could that be, unless it is some kind of medical issues.

the length of the neck is longer in the 1st pics, shorter in the 2nd, look at the ears, 2nd the shirt collar is much higher in the 2nd pic.
People need to e careful, too many doctors trying to sell there services, and can cause grater pain.

PRP takes about 6-8 months to see results - at least that has been my personal experience. I got my PRP treatment at Dr. Feller's office in June 20009. I have seen regrowth in my crown from this that is rather impressive. Not a magic bullet, mind you, but enough for me to get a second treatment in a couple months.

The doctor is referring to the bottom part of the crown which has nothing to do with how the man is wearing his collar.

I was reluctant to start using PRP in my practice. Like you, I saw many posts on Drs starting to incorporate it into their practice but I saw little evidence of its benefits.
I am not trying to sell my services but trying to share what I feel is a possible improvement in this man's hair loss.
I will also post any patients that I do not see any improvement or if they appear worse.
I have also seen that with my hair transplants the reciptant area that is injected with PRP seems to heal faster, has less redness and less shedding. I would be interested if other physicians have seen this.

When I am referring to donor density I am talking about the number of miniaturized hairs in the area. I will start another thread on this subject.

Has this growth been verified with hair counts, or are you relying on photos alone?
Also, is the density related to new hair growth (which seems unlikely to me in three weeks) or is it due to increased diameter of existing hairs?

At this time I am only relying on photos. When we did the first injection I recorded hair counts in the donor area and will compare them at three months.
I think that the improvement now is due to increase diameter of existing hairs. PRP will increase circulation to the area of injection and also has growth factors present in the PRP. We are probably seeing an improvement in the miniaturized hairs in the area.

The hair appears longer because it's 3 weeks older.
The dude's still bald. And he wears plaid too!
