I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to remove my FUE work via laser removal, extration, anything really. My FUE work from 3-4 years ago is started to look extremely pluggy, and one of my templates is completely bald minus the hair line. If i remove those implanted hairs...will there be scars? I have plucked a few out as a text..and there didnt seem to be any noticeable scars... I think im okay with just getting rid of the horrible work and shaving my hair to a # 1 and just forgetting about it....however i have tried to shave to a # 1 but the work is still noticable...i figured if i got rid of the fue work...it would look more natural...thoughts...advise...please!

you can probably get them lasered out.  Some places even sell home electrolysis systems which may work.

I agree with The Emperor, laser sounds like the best option.   Although just to clarify, you are not removing anything with the laser.

All the laser does is kill the cells that grow the hair, so the follicle no longer produces visible hair.

If there is no noticeable difference when you pluck the hair then the laser is going to look the same since all it does is prevent the hair from growing back.

Check in the repair section, I don't know of any personally.

Although I can't see why this would be difficult to do, it's essentially a "reverse transplant"

They would have to draw out an acceptable balding pattern and then just laser everything inside it.

If you want to see what it would look like I suppose you could do the same thing at home and just pluck the hairs in the desired area so you can get the effect you want before resorting to the permanency of a laser.

I agree with Farrell.  Getting them lasered out seems reasonable.

Look in the "Hair Transplan Repair" section and read the half-dozen or so threads that discuss laser removal and hair transplant reversal.

There is a lot of good information in there, including mention of some practices that do laser hair removal.  Also, look for posts by laser-removal veterans like Illinoisbaldy and GSNYC.
