According to my new MD it absolutely does. He says that taking DHEA leads to increased production of testosterone and that increased testosterone can lead to increased hair loss. I found this out after taking 200 milligram doses of DHEA on a daily basis for about six years during which my 'normal' male pattern baldness accelerated to the point where I am now a Norwood 7. I am 56 and was taking the DHEA for it's ability to enhance libido - which I have no doubt it did. The problem is, of course, that it now appears that I made a trade off and I am not altogether pleased with the consequences. I would have been better off sticking with Viagra -- at least I might have kept some of my precious hair a while longer.

Sononma,

Did you take propecia with dhea?
I agree dhea will mow down your hairline,
but I'm curious how propecia would interact with dhea.
