Hi everyone, I am posting on this forum in hope that I will be able to help some of you, I have sufferred from extreme hair loss for approx two years. My hair loss got very bad around November 2011, i was losing approx 300 hairs a day and double that after a shower. I started researching different reasons for hair loss online and came across a few articles that linked certain vitamin deficiencies to hair loss, the one that stood out was vitamin d deficiency, i appeared to have all the symptoms, aching legs, muscle switches, hair loss, headaches. I went to the doctor and was tested for vitamin D deficieny, sure enough I was extremely low. My doctor started me on vitamin d supplements and within 4 weeks my hair stopped falling out! I guess I was lucky to find the cure for my hair loss. I would suggest anyone experiencing hair loss or thinning should get their vit d levels checked at the doctors, and hopefully like me, your hair loss can also be stopped if that is the cause.
