Hi marie77,

i am very happy for you. It's so important to find your piece of mind and mental health, from whatever solution that is...

I ve been fighting with androgenetic alopecia for 5 years. It started with severe stress and from then on i've been loosing it slowly. The last months i went through a big stressful situation again and that was i think the beginning of the end...
if i don't reverse it i will start looking for hair pieces by the summer.

My question for you is, is your hair piece by a specific brand (if there are brands-i don't know)? And if yes can you tell me?
Secondly, did your coworkers notice the differnce? (if you work i mean)
My biggest fear is that when the problem will get really worse i will be the talk of the bank (i work in a bank) and if i put on a hairpiece, oh, then i will really be the talk of the bank!
Please tell me if it shows.....
thank you

Hi Terra,
I am a fellow newbie that has also walked the this and that route, and I had enough of fooling around with products that even if they had kept they're promises, they did not meet my needs. In January I finally made the decision to try a topper and keep an open mind. I thought any drawbacks would be better than the feeling of self-consciousness and having my self esteem challenged by a problem when there were so many solutions. It's now April and 4 days ago I began wearing my topper. I look as I see myself healthy, casual, fearless.

I speak from experience. No to HCM.

I found a salon in my area that specifically deals with hair loss.
Bye the bye, system, shmstem, it's a just adding to your hair and making it better.
Find the technique that suits you best.

I wish you well.

Teri

hi,
i think these days alot of women should try wearing a system as they have now progressed to the stage of looking totally natural.

alot of companies specialise in womens hair and charge a fortune but i think it would be cheaper to contact them mens companies and get a quote as i know for a fact the hairlines would blow most peoples brains when they could see them..

i think above 6 inches its charged by the inch as i often thought of having long hair but id look like a girl so stay short but i know essentially the systems are exactly the same and its a shame sometimes that women are missing out on the top drawer systems and hairlines that men can now get..

women have thicker hair yes..but just go to a male one ..get a quote for the inch...and save yourself a fortune...

shaving is not a problem once you realise the hair you will replace it with..

i use one in the uk and they sell loads to women..i think this technology is life changing to anyone with hairloss.

Hello all, I am another newbie to this forum... I've done a lot of reading about other women's experiences with concealers, transplants, extensions, pills, topical solutions, etc. etc...

I have to wear my hair up in a ponytail everyday because I've had just so much hair loss to my crown and sides and even in front some. Very depressing! Like another user mentioned, I have for the most part avoided friends and family because my self-esteem is just in the pits.

My hair loss is hereditary-- both my father's parents were bald, my father is bald, and my mother is slowly getting noticeable bald patches too. I went to a derm about 8 years ago (I'm in my late 20's now), he did a biopsy and ran tests, but he basically said my tests were normal, nothing can be done. gave me a tiny can of monoxidil(?) and sent me on my way.

For me, I haven't wanted to introduce anything harsh to my body for my hair loss... and I've just had a consultation regarding extensions which I've discovered I can in no way afford. I think a hair system might be the best option for me.

I was curious if any females on here had pics of their hair pieces? I am VERY curious about how well these blend in with natural hair.

Thank you and good luck to all!

My thinning is definitely most apparent at the front hairline. Will clip in extensions help that at all? Can anyone tell me about their experience with ProExtensions hair extensions? I am not looking for length, but to add some thickness to my thinning hair. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

hi there i've been wearing a full wig for about 6 months now. i've had 2, one from uptrending and one from wiwigs. i buy synthetic ones because they're cheaper than human hair ones. i've mostly had positive comments about my hair since i started wearing a wig and no one knows my hair is fake apart from my boyfriend and 1 of my friends. i can always post a picture if you would like. i started with one similar to my own hair in style and colour but once i got used to that and gained more confidence i got a one that's a completely different colour and much longer. i think a big part of it is just having the confidence to go out and not be ashamed (:
