Can someone please tell me if this is too much hair to lose at once time? I do color my hair but this seems like an awful lot of hair and I'm really not sure if it's breakage or if it's falling out.

How long is your hair? Yes this seems like excessive hair loss to me.

My hair is a bit longer than shoulder length. Even if it's breakage from hair coloring, do you think it's still too much?

Oh, its really too much if its not seasonal, by seasonal I mean is there a season comes in which there is too much hair fall like more double or triple then the average and it remains for 1.5 month. The average quantity of hair fall is 100 hairs / day.

Losing around 100 hairs per day is normal, but if you're losing a lot of hair in a day then it could be a serious problem. In my opinion, you should consult a doctor first before starting any random treatment to prevent hair loss. Read this blog (https://goo.gl/C9uf08) about ways to prevent hair loss in men and women.

I think the answer to your question is intrinsic in the sense that you have to evaluate what your current stress levels, diet, supplementation, and overall life variables are. I personally know, and have experienced thinning at very stressful points in my life.

Good luck to you.
