Hey guys,

Basically, I've been on fin for nearly 5 months, having discovered hairloss relatively early.

However, the past couple of months it has been worse than ever - yet it doesn't feel like simple'dht increase' is solely to blame. In fact, my scalp has been so damn itchy that the amount I scratch it, as well as the general unhealthiness of it, I am certain has something to do with the increase in hair loss - in fact, the itchier it is, the more hair seems to come out the next shower.

I've tried nizoral, but I believe I react badly to it - not only did starting on nizoral lead to an outbreak of shedding, but it also started making my scalp excessively itchy. I've tried Revita, but that too seemed to lead to increased shedding.

Basically, what I'm looking for is a good everyday shampoo that 1) isn't filled with chemicals and 2) doesn't have a plethora of ingredients which could potentially have negative side effects. Basically, an all-natural scalp balancing shampoo that isn't over-complicated.

If anyone has any suggestions, or could add anything else regarding my situation it'd mbe much appreciated.

Cheers.

Maybe it would be a good idea to visit a doctor or dermatologist. At leat that way you can be sure what exactly is causing your hair loss.

I like Nioxin shampoo. I find it has a nice thickening effect, makes my scalp tingle a little (I like that), and it isn't overly drying.

I've been using WEN lately, and I like that a lot too (even more than Nioxin actually). But WEN is expensive and most flavors have a funky smell, which I don't particularly care for.

I don't believe in using cheap shampoo. I have never found a brand that didn't turn my hair into dry straw. Cheap conditioner is fine (I like Garnier Fructise actually). But cheap shampoo absolutely sucks.

Fat Hair shampoo and condition. These products are fairly natural and do a great job thickening the hair shaft.

I will definitely be going back on this product after I have maximized my gains with my current regimen. I stopped because I did not want to create an illusion of improvement from the shampoo.

Have you tried a copper peptide shampoo like Tricomin? The copper peptides are supposed to have a healing effect and may assist with your problem. I use copper peptide shampoo and it has left my scalp very healthy feeling. I still use Nizoral twice a week also to keep my flakes under control. The combo seems to calm my scalp problems. I had lots of irratation and redness years ago when I first tried minox. This time my scalp seems to be reacting better, but I am taking better care of it

-------------------------
FIN 1mg daily
Minoxidil twice daily
Nizoral every third morning
Tricomin shampoo, conditioner when I do not use Nizoral
Tricomin Follicle spray once daily
Lasercomb every other day

I use both Collective Well-Being & Giovanni shampoos. I like them because they don't contain sulfates

Perfect! Sulfate can damage your hair.
