How is the shampoo and conditioner in one? Which do you prefer - the shampoo and conditioner seperate or the all in one bottle?

Hey GL,
I don't really have any experience with the Tricomin line, but supposedly a lot of people like the shampoo as part of the rotation. I'm sure the only advantage to the shampoo+condtioner is you don't have to condition your hair afterwards because the mixture does it for you. However, since Tricomin is a rather expensive shampoo and good conditioners can be had for pretty cheap, I'd just stick with the shampoo. Also I don't really think Tricomin is suposed to be a harsh shampoo at all, so unless your hair is naturally dry or damaged and needs to be conditioned there's not really a need for it.

As a man with long, dry hair, I can tell you that using a 2 in 1 does not negate the need for a separate coniditioner. If it lathers, it isn't conditioning your hair. Get the shampoo and purchase a conditioner separately. Your hair will thank you.

Ihadabans - I have long hair, too... do you use the tricomin shampoo? Most people rave about it, but I'm not too crazy about it. I actually like the Revivogen shampoo better.

I've never used Tricomin. Too expensive and I think the only place you can buy it is online, which I find inconvenient. I'm a little skeptical about how much additional benefit you get from using one shampooo over another anyway. The exception is nizoral, which I feel really does help with hairloss. I use nizoral every other day. On my off day, I use Redken all soft shampoo. It's very mild and doesn't dry out my hair. For conditioner I use Pantene. It's cheap, I can buy it anywhere and it works really well for me.
How is the Revivogen shampoo? Do you use nizoral? If not, I highly recommend it (although it is a bit drying, so use lots of conditioner).

The Revivogen shampoo lathers really well and provides a nice tingle to my scalp. The tricomin shampoo doesn't lather as well and so I use much more of it (and it is more expensive than the revivogen shampoo). If these two shampoos don't do anything as far as stimulating growth or detering DHT then I think I will drop the tricomin and use the revivogen along with Nizoral... oh yea, I do use nizoral.

Sounds good. I may have to look into the revivigen shampoo. I do not believe that either the Tricomin or the reviviogen shampoo stimulate growth or block DHT. Topical products almost always have to be left on for several hours to have these effects on the scalp (the scalp is difficult to penetrate, that's why our topicals are chalk full of nasty stuff like alcohol). The exception is nizoral, and really I don't know why it works, but apparently the active ingredient stays on your scalp even though the shampoo is washed off... or something like that.

Guys, have you ever tried Folligen Therapy Shampoo? It's easily one of the best shampoos I've ever used. It's very light, smells awesome, lathers nicely, is extremely gentle on the hair and it does contain copper-peptides of the Folligen formula. I usually use it as a pre-shampoo to clean my hair before applying NANO shampoo, and occasionaly when my scalp is feeling irritated from proplyene glycol I use Folligen shampoo in the morning and let it soak in for about 5 minutes and it really seems to help. Even though I personally use Tricomin Follicle Solution for my concentrated copper-peptide formula, I really recommend you check out a bottle of Folligen Therapy shampoo. It is VERY underated.
