I had a question from a person by email of how Propecia has made his penis small...

My comments are:
I highly doubt a small penis size is a reaction from finasteride or any drug for that matter. If stopping the drug solves the problem, then you made a decision between your penis and your hair. Trade-offs in life are always made. I’d say the penis is more important than the hair, but I really suggest you see a physician in person for an exam if you are concerned.

Finasteride can absolutely make your penis shrink. It could be either your estrogen is out of control or your DHT is through the floor. Since DHT is responsible for the maintinence of penile tissue and controlling estrogen, taking finasteride can definately have negative consequences on your penis in the form of shrinkage and peyronnies disease.

Why would you want to inhibit DHT throughout your entire body, when all you are trying to do is inhibit it on your scalp. Its common knowledge that DHT is responsible for everything that makes you a man and is a far stronger androgen than testosterone.

I think you've got YOUR head up YOUR ass on this one.

Androgens (T, DHT) are critical for proper penile tissue structure, health and function.

Don't be so quick to discredit what you know nothing about.

I really don't think that you can alter the size of your penis after adulthood, otherwise maybe all those spam ads are right.
And then people one steroids would have massive penii, and they don't.

"Androgen is vital for the development of external genitalia in male mammals." I think that says it all right there kids.

liquidfirex is correct. After adulthood, your growth is basically done. On other bodybuilding forums I post at, many posters complain about their penis size not being adequate. Keep in mind, these guys are on massive ammounts of Test/ DHT, and anti-estrogens.

The only thing I have heard that can make your penish shrink is chemotherapy for prostate cancer.

I have to agree that my penis is definitely smaller and getting a full erection is almost impossible after being on propecia for three months.

I'd rather have a nice hard erection every night than have a few more hairs on my head. Nothing like getting the boner of the day.

Guys, I know for a fact lack of hormones can shrink the penis. I had a very large, thick penis. It was so big that it curved to the side. One side was thicker because of some scar tissue also. I was in a couple of pornos. I did something stupid and my testosterone levels were extremely low, even 0 at one time. Ever since then my penis has been significantly smaller. I wouldn't say I lost that much length, but the thickness is not the same. It has gone from monstrous to pretty big. The strange thing is after a few years of being back to normal, it seems to be getting back like it was. Thats the good news. Your body always wants to achieve homeostasis.

Stop spreading false information. Theres nothing worse than an ignorant man who rambles on about something he knows nothing about, like a charlaton with authority.

Men that increase the volume of sex hormones in their body, definately increase the size of their penis and the intesity of erections. Raised estrogen levels, as a result of aromatization can also have an affect on the penis.

wouldn't it be better to say rather than fin shrinking a man's penis, it just made him unable to reach the same erection that he could before. the penis itself isn't smaller, it just isn't able to get as hard.

... well maybe that's just the same thing
