Well I made the genius decision to add 50% water to a bottle of minoxodil 5 percent since I found so much was saturated in my hair, that I figured I would get more efficient by doing it this way. Of course the minoxidil precipitated, and I just did some reading to find out that it can only hold .22% in water. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this? I can only think to put it in a bowl inside my oven at like 150 degrees and evaporate some water, and then maybe replace with ethanol afterwards? Thanks!

well, you can not evaporate just water. alcohols evaporate before water does. however, you can collect the precipitate and re-dissolves in acohol. But you might not know the concentration if you don't know the mass of precipitate.

Also, if you want to dilute your minoxidil, add acohol or acohol/water mix, but not just water. Minoxidil dissolves pooly in water.
