Hey all,

Is anyone currently trying Miconazole Nitrate 2%?

Any success/failure/sides stories?

How often to apply?

I have ordered some Daktarin Cream (Miconazole Nitrate 2%). I was going to use it 2 times per week along with Nizoral shampoo 3 times per week...

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, 4" in only 2 weeks??? I smell a scam here!

But on serious note: Anything is possible. Hair is the same stuff in the stars. The mind is universally powerful.

If the subconscious mind thinks, "Yep been using the stuff for 2 wks now and the hair as grown over 4 inches. Every vellus hair is now terminal, infact it's irradicated any sign of hair loss.

Best stuff i have ever used." Then it's true.

In a different dimension this is true what you say for yourself with no joke.

Irishpride86.

On a serious note, i have tried miconazole it for a couple of weeks and i haven't noticed any results which have been claimed. However, two weeks isn't very long to evaluate any treatment.

I will tell you this though, in the last week i have been using daktarin gold which is 2% Ketoconzole. I'm being serious here and this is no joke ! I have applied this morning and night, and I'm experiencing accelerated hair growth on top where it's being applied.

used 2% for maybe a month, roughly 3-5x per week. early, but it seems to have helped so far, especially in the hairline. like I said, its early.

How often do most people use this stuff? I see some people saying they only use it a few times a week, but why not every day?

-------------------------
Thinned out NW2.5-3

7/30/12 - Dropped rogaine after 16 months because still receding
Quit fin a while back after 5 months due to gyne sides
Currently deciding on new regimen, considering Super Zix with SP and beta sitosterol

I just started it a few days ago. Nothing to report, but I don't expect anything. Maybe in 3 or so months I'll chime in with something. As a side note though, this stuff is the best styling cream I've ever used! lol

-------------------------
Regime - Fin 0.25mg eod or whenever I remember - Miconozole cream daily - Keto Shampoo daily - 1.5mm Needling when I feel like it.

Why would you expect any product to work, even after 6 months, if you're only applying it 3 times per week?

Isn't that how much you're supposed to use Nizoral? 3-5x / wk?

I use the Miconazole up to 2x per day. I am going through a 45g tube in a month. I am getting results as far as faster hair growth AND increased new hairs and thicker intermediate hairs.

RSR38, do you get headaches from the miconazole cream? I applied some and it seemed to give me a slight headache... I thought this was just a coincidence, but tried it again and same thing...

Anyone know if this stuff goes systematic, and what the effects might be?

Just applied some generic Walgreens monistat to my head for the first time (can't believe I'm actually saying that). To be honest I'm not really thrilled with how it leaves my hair....the stuff has a very sticky texture to it. Are there any brands that have a lighter texture?

I'm using the "miconazole 7' (45g tube). Not sticky, and only about $5 for a tube!
