I've done searchs on this sight and others - Apple Poly is sort of a mixed bag, works very well for some, and dosen't do much for others. It seems that the people that it is working for have done it for six months or more.
http://www.applepoly.com/procyanidin-b-2/index.htm
I wondering if anyone is currently using this, and could share their results. Is it worth the money? Are you doing both the topical and the supplements? How long have you been on it?
I am seriously considering trying this for at least a year, since I am unwilling to take Minx or fin.
Your responses are much appreciated.
thanx

I'm not really into using any prescription drugs. I've got anxiety, went to the doctor they tried to put me on anti-depressents and what not. I did research and found out that cardio is better for you, having working out a lot (before I most just did weights with a little cardio here and there) and my anxiety is next to nothing, but if I miss a couple days in a row without exercising, I feel a noticable differnce.
Smity109
I specifically referring to the Apple Poly brand. It is the only topical I could come across. Is what your using a topical, or just pills? Any way, keep me informed, if what you're using works, I'll add that
thanx

Smity109,
Have you thought about using the topical? For the life of me I can't find anyone else that has topical applepolyphenols except for Apple Poly.
There was a thread a couple of weeks ago about Red Maca lower DHT levels, I don't think they were as much as fin, but a guy named NicNitro, had his lab work posted and he was on Red Maca, And I believe it dropped his DHT by thirty points or something. He also said that he didn't have an sides.

correct me if I'm wrong, but won't any systemic "DHT inhibitor" that works invariably result in side effects similar to that of fin?
I kind of thought they went hand-in-hand.

Typical skeleton,
Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you talking about Apple Polyphenols as being a DHT inhibitor? I don't believe they are (though I could be wrong) I just believed that they were associated with Hair Growth.

Procyanidin B-2, extracted from apples, promotes hair growth: a laboratory study, Br J Dermatol. 2002 Jan;146(1):41-51
In this study, the researchers concluded that procyanidin B-2 acts to diminish protein kinase C isozymes, which play an important role in the hair growth cycle.
Procyanidin B-2 seems to promote hair growth by downregulating PKC in both the anagen (active growth phase) and telogen (resting phase) of the hair follicle. When the anagen phase is prolonged, and the telogen phase is shortened, increased hair growth results.

I believe that the only study that have been done on Apple Poly's have been on their topical application...if I'm not mistaken that is.

Smitty109,
Cool, I'm thinking about jumping on it too, Like you I just wish I could find a cheaper topical, I've found other Apple Polyphenol pills, but no other topical. It's like the Apple Poly brand has the topical market cornered.
If I get on it, I am going to use a dermaroller along with it I think.
