I think it actually works pretty good! Really seems to thicken up the hairs. Makes them feel pretty soft, too.

Here's some pics. I'm home alone, so I took these myself. The one where I am holding the camera, that is a pic that is tough on the hair. Bright flash from arms length! The other pic is with a timer, just to give an idea of how the hairline looks in a more natural setting.

The downside to Dermatch is it seems a little high maintenance to apply. And, I'm not sure how it would work in with a daily routine with Minox. I do think the results are pretty good, though. I don't think it would be possible to tell that something was done, but it does look a lot fuller.

February 21, 2004, looking pretty grim! Not a lot left in the horseshoe.

May 30, 2004 - Hey, there's that long lost hairline!

Up close, bright flash!

I'm going to order some Toppik and give it a try. I'll post pics and a review in a couple of weeks.

One more pic that I just took, more close up, with more natural lighting.

Nice job. BTW You should create a personal website for all your pics. This is better because all your pics are always available from posts via your personal site. Its a lot easier than trying to locate threads to see the pics.

If you go to this link its very simple and easy.

Thanks Farrell, I will do that!

Also, I've used Dermatch for 2 days now. I'm going to stop using it, though. Way too much of a pain to put on in the morning during a work day. Also, the stuff is just too intense for every day use. When you take a shower at night, the mess that comes out is amazing! It just doesn't seem like it can be good for your hair and scalp.

Also, it makes a mess when you put on your nightly Minox treatment. The better way would be to wash your hair again at night to get it all out, then put on the nightly Minox. But washing your hair twice a day is a pain, and probably isn't great for hair growth.

I'm also not comfortable putting it on over Minox that hasn't had a few hours to sit. That makes it impossible to use during the work week.

The stuff definately works to thicken up your hair, though, and is very natural in appearance. I'm not going to use it regularly, but I'll keep it around for occasional special events.

I sometimes wonder what kind of an effect things like toppik and dermamatch can have on hair. I have it on for the weekend.. but my hair really sheds awfully after a few days of toppik usage. I used it on a business trip that last 10 days (used it EVERY day) and after the trip my hair never looked worsed and never shed so much.. and i mean TONS of hair were falling out.

I'm not sure concealers have a negative effect on hair (although admittedly this is more likely than them having a positive effect) but I think after using them consistently you can appear to go through a shed, basically because you haven't properly washed your hair for a few days, or been vigorous enough with it to lose those hairs. SO when you do finally wash it, all the hairs that would have fallen anyway appear to come out at once. That's my experience anyway.

I think coverups are best never used if possible. They become an addiction. Some are amazingly good but they are a pain in the ass, messy and you still worriy about getting rumbled. Real, full length hair fibres that bind to exising hairs are what I would like to see, and I don't mean a system/wig.
