I'VE BEEN ON PROSCAR FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND I JUST NOTICED THAT MY LEFT NIPPLE HAS A HARD LUMP UNDER IT AND IS PROTRUDING SLIGHTLY. WHAT SHOULD I DO? IF I STOP THE PROSCAR WILL IT GO AWAY? IS THERE ANYWAY TO COUNTER IT? HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND CORRECTED IT?

There is something that has been developed that should help with the increased estradiol whilst taking DHT inhibitors.I do not know any technical details yet, except that it will be herbal based. I will let you know more in the coming weeks.

Zen, it is strange that you JUST noticed this. From what I understand, before the onset of gyno you can feel a lot of discomfort/tenderness. If you already have gyno I think that the ONLY way to reverse it once it has set in completely is to have it surgically removed.
Go to your doctor ASAP.
Good luck,

Go see you doc, but dont get too worried.
I have some lumps in my chest since teenage years and my doc says its just fatty tissue, same as women get ie cellulite.

I went to the doctor say 20 years ago for Gynomastia(I think thats what he said I had). He felt around and said no problem(I think I had lumps)just keep a check on it. I think I had it on both sides, now I have it on just one. I think the hardness has gone away, maybe through supplements
I have taken, but I still have soreness even after all these years.
So don't panic

Hairnoevil,
How are you getting on with your HZ supplements?
You must also take into account your:
1)Age
2)body type and weight
3)lifestyle (diet / smoker / units of alcohol)
4)Inorder to maximise your results you should minimise taking alot of other internals.

You definitely have gyno.
Does it hurt to touch your nipple? Press on your nipple, and then move it around, whjile pressing down on your nipple, there will likely be a deep pain under the nipple.
If you just noticed this lump, then you should drop finasteride immediately, if you drop finasteride right away, there is a slim chance the lump may go away. If you continue to take finasteride, the lump will stay and posibly get worse. I would drop finasteride a.s.a.p. wait a few weeks to a month, see if the lump goes away, then if it does go away, begin finasteride again at a lower dose, OR if it does not go away, you may begin finasteride again at a lower dose, but just watch it closely to make sure it does not get worse.
It is gyno, I can gaurantee you, get off the finasteride, you need to get off finasteride a.s.a.p if you have any hope of the lump going away.
Best of luck...

Anyone try taking turmeric (curcumin)on a daily basis to get rid of Gyno? I've heard that it is frequently used to combat Gyno. Do a google search and see for yourself... Anyone know from personal experience if it works, or if it might be a good addition to a regime with finasteride?

Diesel , there is no pain involved in the lump. For a couple months both my nipples itched like hell, I scractched them till they bled. I assumed this was just Excema on my nipples because I have pretty bad excema everywhere else. It is only on one nipple not both. Also I heard that Finasteride induced Gyno goes away after use.

Itching nipples is definitely a sign of early onset of gyno. It is more common to get it in one side first - in fact you may never get it in the other side. I only get it in one side and it tells me when something is working.
It is not necessary to quit finasteride, although that is one solution. If you want to continue on it, adding an anti-estrogen drug will most likely reverse and eliminate it. I've had gyno flare up on one side in the past and wiped it out with Nolvadex. Since going on Avodart, I have it worse than ever so I am going to go on Arimidex in a couple days. Based on much past experience, I anticipate it will reverse completely and be gone. I'll let you all know the results in a few weeks.

Dean, can you tell me a little more about this Novadex? Is it expensive? Can you get it off the internet? Also, did your gyno go away like they say it does when induced by Finasteride? Hey I'm paranoid man, I don't want tits. So unless you can give me a sure thing to take that will eliminate it(novadex or whatever)I'm going to have to drop the Finasteride and replace it with Saw Palmetto. It's a shame because I have had phenomenal results with my current regimen. My hair is almost restored to my pre-hairloss days. They say gyno is irreversible, are you sure you have gyno? My left nipple looks like a AAA tit, it is freaking me out. It seems to have just appeared in the last couple of weeks after a couple months of severe itching. There is a semi-hard lump under my nipple and is causing it to protrude , it looks all pointy like a tit. I also recently started a vegan diet and I eat tons of soy which I think promotes estrogen production. Tell me more about your story with gyno, I appreciate it

Zenn - very likely Nolvadex or, better still, Arimidex will easily solve the problem for you. If your doctor will prescribe it, that's the way to go. Neither is terribly expensive - generally cheaper than finasteride and you use less. Typically, my approach to treating gyno would be 1) anti-estrogen 2) discontinue causing drug and 3) surgery.
There are definitely places online to get Nolvadex and Arimidex - just search or ask around. The drugs wipe it out well and quickly for most people.

Zenvision, you have it worse than I do for sure.I have eczema as well and used to have it on my left nip years ago. This is different. It's time for you to get to a doctor about this.I do not have a visible tit growing, but I had fatty nips from pre fat ars days to begin with.

What's your opinion with regard to the use of flax to prevent Gyno formation? Lifters are always talking about it, but I do not see any actual proof that it helps.I currently use ground flax every day.

Think of it this way, at least you can touch breasts without having to use foreplay.

I've never seen any eviodence that flax does anything. Same goes for Emu. I think both are new millenia snake oils.
