Very shortly I'm about to start my RU treatment. Some background information, I will be making a 5% mixture in minoxidil. I'm going to stop my current treatment which is topical fin and dut mixed in minoxidil. I may add in derma-rolling and some other stuff. The log starts when my RU gets here.

Quick recap for anyone that hasn't followed my other logs. I've been on fin in one form or another for 5 years now. Fin pills and topical fin both worked for me, fin pills had subtle side effects that came on so gradually I didn't even know I had side effects and topical fin had zero side effects as well as working faster than fin pills. I prefer topical fin over fin pills. However I did develope a tolerance to fin that I now acknowledge and that's why I switched to RU. My hair is in the worst shape it's ever been in, so I'm hoping RU will work well!

Think I've noticed some more hair loss, a little more than 2 weeks in and I don't notice anything really yet. (And I got my RU from CHEMYO)

I figured I further my thought from my last post yesterday. My hair is looking rough ( I notice it) and feeling rough. I'm really hoping that this treatment will work. Myself, just like many of you, like my hair and don't want it to get so bad that I have to shave it and keep it bald, just to keep my appearance up. Mentally pretty shot when I think about my hair situation. I'm just trying to hang on till an undeniable treatment/cure pops up which who knows when that could be. So my hair is looking the roughest it's ever been and my mentality is just about par with my hair. Log isn't going so well but time will tell... on the bright side, it's early into the treatment.

My hair is continuing to fall out at a pretty high rate, it's looking pretty crappy. BUT I notice a lot of tiny hairs at the front of my hairline, thin weak hair ranging from peach fuzz to slightly stronger hair. Either the hair is shrinking farther after falling out or this is regrowth but it feels like regrowth to me.

I'm seeing regrowth at the peak, slight regrowth on the sides of my peak (or it's just further minaturization). If I am seeing regrowth, it's not doing anything for my hairs appearance. Can't tell if anything is happening at the crown and I'm not sure when I'm suppose to be seeing visible results.

Almost 2 months in and this is the second day where I've noticed slower hair loss.

Continuing to have slower hair loss which is great! Fin pills took 7 months, topical fin took 3 months and 3 weeks and RU seems to have taken 2 months give or take a week or 2.

You seem to be getting a similar response with RU as I'm seeing with Morr-F. Excessive hair loss stopped almost immediately but after 6 months zilch for regrowth. But then I'm a little older now and so it's kind of a novelty to me at this point.

Do you have a timeline with RU where at some point you stop if you don't see real results? How much are you paying for it?

Paid $70 from chemyo, found a place for $58 so I'm trying them next week. Haven't seen much with my hair, it looks even worse now and is getting thinned out. Thinking I should add some fin in the mix. Thoughts? I have fin and or dut I could add to my topical, maybe .125mg fin concentration?

Seems as though you have nothing to lose adding the fin or dut, might as well go for it. I'm dropping the morr-f after the last bottle is gone but I've read good reviews of it so topical fin does work for some people.

About a week ago I added fin topical back in the mix along the RU. So I apply 1ml of fin/minoxidil mix and 1ml of RU/minoxidil mix a night. Hoping to gain some ground! As far as a hair update is concerned, I always wear a beanie so no one actually see my hair. However I'm at the point where it's becoming very difficult to style it in a way where people might not be able to tell I'm balding. A person that's balding will probably easily be able to see that I'm in fact balding. I'm hoping that I can at least grow enough back so I don't have to wear a beanie all the time! Losing a lot of hair in the front, becoming very thin. If my hair continues this route for another year, I'll have no choice but to shave my head.

Well it just occurred to me that the hair loss I've had was the fin shed from quitting the topical which I didn't think would happen since I went straight to the RU but I guess it did. Hairs going to look rough till hairloss stops which should be 4 months from now. Unless the RU kicks ass which I haven't noticed anything from it yet. I'm going to continue my RU topical for another 4 months and if I don't notice anything , I'm done with the RU and sticking with fin (might add something else as well). So I'll be back in probably around 4 months with an update most likely, unless the RU works miracles sooner than the fin.

Might try it, fin shed is absolutely horrendous! I never imagined a shed could be this bad!!!!! I'll have to wear a hat until my hair gets fixed. Wishing for a miracle now, this is sooooo bad.
