Was doing great about a year or so ago on just 1mg finpecia ED, switched to fincar 1.25mg ED, after a couple months left temple started thinning bad, went back to finpecia 1mg ED, temple didn't recover, eventually got on dut and sloooowly worked my way up to .5mg ED over a 6-8 month period, not really shedding at all but my temple is worse than ever.

I know the feeling. Medication generally does not produce cosmetically significant regrowth in the temples. The forefathers of minoxidil believed it so ineffective there that they didn't bother with extensive testing (technically required when making claims about benefits of a drug), and the literature sometimes included says it isn't for the frontal region. Finasteride probably slows temple loss for most users, but I think it's unusual if it halts it.

My temples are still receding on Dut and Fin. Overall hair is looking good 5=6 years after starting. hard to believe it has been that long
