I haven't been on here in a little while as I've been trying to move on with my life. However, as a new year dawns, I have to admit that, despite my best efforts, hair loss is still a big issue for me. Certainly, my confidence has never recovered (not that it was substantial to begin with). Anyway, to recap my situation: I started noticing hair loss three years ago (temples & crown). Since that time, I've been taking Propecia daily. I'm not sure if there's been any regrowth (if so, then it's been slight). The temples are probably irrecoverable. but I'd still like to try to do something about the back. I'm still reluctant to use Minoxidil (I have visions of me cursing my "greed" for hair as the loss is exacerbated - silly, perhaps, but potent). That only leaves Nizoral (out of the "big three"). Considering its intended use as an antifungal shampoo, I'm a bit sceptical. Does it actually do anything? (besides eliminate dandruff) Or is it a waste of time? Please let me know (and apologies for the lengthy intro).

It has ketoconazole in it which is a very mild anti-androgen (not enough to do a whole lot though) and helps with the good old "DHT itch." Since it's pretty cheap it doesn't hurt to use it 2-3 times a week.

-------------------------
Finasteride - 1.25 mg daily
Minoxidil 5% 1-2 times a day
Ketoconazole - Once every 3 days
Dermarolling 1.5 mm - Once a week

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, while I was poking around, I discovered this earlier POST.
This is the sort of thing that scares me off adding anything else to my regime.
I also found this POST (he even calls it Nizoral greed.) Can't believe this sh*t.
There's never a straight answer on the internet. Thanks anyway.
