All,

Long time viewer, first time poster. I'm looking to come up with a topical gel that will inhibit Pgd2 and stimulate Pge2. I have a compounding pharmacy that I've worked with on other gel medications that I plan to take this to. The substantially completed formula (based on a previous flutamide gel) is as follows:

Ethanol - 30%
Propylene Glycol - 24%
Glycerine - 3%
Arlacel 186 - 1% (glyceryl mono and di-oleate)
Methocel E15-LV - 1% (or 2%) (Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose)
Distilled Water - q.s.

The missing components are a Pgd2 inhibitor and a Pge2 stimulator. Any suggestions on what those could/would be and the requisite percentages of each?

This formula could obviously be tinkered with a bit to fit the missing components.

I look forward to your input.

Cetirizine isn't a CRTH2 antagonist so isn't useful for these purposes.

Inhibitor is OC, not sure what a stimulator is, but apparently Minoxidil does.

PGe2 is currently unavailable.
the alternatives/ workarounds to stimulate hairgrowth at this moment are VPA(Sodium Valproate)+Ciclopirox Olamine + Quercitine.
its prety much explained overe here: http://www.hairlosshelp.com/fo...d=99747&enterthread=y

not much compounds are studied for hairloss..

It supports the hypoxia case.(VEGF + Angiogenesus)

I had read on this forum somewhere , that there where some people with kind of success using Quercitine topically.

Btw, Quercitine does not dissolve in ethanol.. I will try it in dmi, once i receive it.

Forgive my ignorance, but isn't dinoprostone a pge2 stimulant (or pge2 itself)? I was sure I read that somewhere.

If not, perhaps I could incorporate Valporic Acid into the gel formula.

Thanks.

Yeah Quercetin should be used in DMI & PG

Between 1% and 6% but I just wanted to know the peak concentration for growth

dinoprostone == PGe2 itself. (currently looking for alternatives)

Why not apply dinoprostone via a topical solution, such as a gel? Wouldn't that get you the kind of Pge2 boost that we need? (I'd combine it with a Pgd2 inhibitor, like 0C000459).

I'm thinking:

Ethanol - 30%
Propylene Glycol - 24%
Glycerine - 3%
Arlacel 186 - 1% (glyceryl mono and di-oleate)
Methocel E15-LV - 1% (or 2%) (Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose)
Distilled Water - q.s
dinoprostone .5%
0C000459 - .5%

Correct!, the thing = Dinoprostone is not available.

currently working on an working around for that. thats why we currently use VPA + Quercitine for now , in the mean time, besides OC000459. Im currently, studying an full replacement molecule of PGE2, that has the same positive biological effects..

to be continued.
