Should be a number of free online formulas..I have had same problems finding a Piroctone Olamine shampoo that will list the percentage on the bottle. I finished contacting Moogoo out of Australia who makes one, they won't tell me..
Fact is listing an ingredient without claiming an amount is a sales strategy and you are lucky to get a token amount. Understand most people don't care enough or aren't analytically inclined enough to ask and companies play on this....BEST TO GET THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT FROM A WHOLESALER AND DO IT YOURSELF< you'll save a fortune over a lifetime, and formulas/recipes can be gotten online I am sure or just look at ingredient on bottle and experiment from there...many online recipes for making shampoo I'm sure..

P.S. many of these shampoos can be left on hours if you aren't going out.

Yes, how to make it? I am having a hard time finding shampoos with either ketanocole (sp?)or Piroctone Olamine. I can't seem to find even 1% nizoral in the local walgreens.

Every major drugstore I've been in has Nizoral 1%. If not there, Walmart surely has it. It's usually next to the rogaine, not far from the men's hygiene section.

Why just 1-2% that means you're buying 98% undesired ingredients...where is it established that it isn't dose dependent..meaning higher dose better...
just seems a waste of money to buy 98% junk//

forget tabs. just buy powder from a chemistry wholesaler ...that's what google is good for...it isn't a behind the counter product in most all places...so ingred.s anyone can get....

Personally I would get away from the SHAMPOO concept, and treat these ingredients perhaps as topicals that are worn for x hours and then rinsed...

Do you know a bulk supplier of Ketoconazole?
I have been Googling all afternoon. All I can find is dodgy Chinese/Indian websites that never list a price.

I'd really like to find a bulk supplier.

Did you try P.O. suppliers? One study showed it far more effective than Keto, and frankly the shampoo's of P.O. generally don't list the percent so most on market can't be relied on, so doing it yourself is a must with it.

Only way I see this working is contacting the people who made the original study with Zinc, PO and Keto and ask for the formulas used in the test.

tonnes of methods to make shampoos on net search...of course...

Adding the active ingredient shouldn't be a problem into the formula..just check specs to see if it's fat or water soluble or what it is soluble in..

However if you suggest this, then yes, please get the emails from the studies or name of Univ. associated with and use the univ email or corporate ones to contact them..please post results and contact info you can..
