I've read that the standard cycle of follicles is 2-7 years, so definitely on the order of years.

I have a hair specially positioned at the apex of my widow's peak, making it easy to track. Generally that area is dark and strong. But ever since I started closely checking, that hair fell out in early January of this year, and now it fell out again (late Dec.), which -- if I'm not making a mistake -- would mean that its cycle was only 11 months. Can this be normal?

Note: I'm not on any treatments.
