I just started using the Equate brand of minoxidil from Walmart. I have always used Rogaine previously & for some reason I feel hesitant about using a generic brand even though it is a hell of a lot cheaper. Has anybody used this Equate brand before & does it seem to work as well as Rogaine??

thanks

Hell0 there ... !

I have used minoxidil from Sav-0n , K-Mart , Wal-Mart , and Walgreens and it all works the same. I will never pay the greedy inflated price for Rogane !

From seeing the info on this WebSite I am now going to order some minoxidil from the Costco WebSite -- the total cost including shipping & a 5% "non-member" surcharge comes to only $28.oo for 4 bottles of the 5% minoxidil. Best price I have ever found ! ~~

By the way ... don't be surprised if all the 'different' brands come from the same company as is the case with a lot of products.

Good luck to you and I hope you save lots of "$" !

Hi Hair Lord,And WELCOME!!.....I too am a firm believer ther is no difference in the effectiveness of rogaine as opposed to generic minoxidil, i use equate brand myself and have been for quite sometime!

I also use Dr.Lee's minox solutions from www.minoxidil.com (its top shelf)but i as well went the rogaine route but it just was'nt worth it basically due to the amount i use per application, i was going through it faster then Grant went throughRichmond Just be consistant with your topicals and patient as well dont expect to see decent results for at least 6 months at that point you can make a better evaluation as to its effectiveness at that time!!

Good Luck.......thinningnugget

The Equate brand of minoxidil has the same exact ingrediants, in same exact amounts as the Rogaine brand. It has the same instructions, same applicators, and the same precautions as the Rogaine brand. There is no difference between the two, except for the name and price.
